This app allows you to browse street level map of Manila when you are traveling. You dont need to have internet connection for this to work as the map is stored on your iPhone or iPod Touch. Ideal for saving roaming charges or having to find the local wifi to access the built-in map application.
You can pinch to zoom in and out of the map just like you can with the built-in map application.
There is also support for GPS on the iPhone and iPod Touch (via WiFi).
The source of the map is from Open Street Map, http://openstreetmap.com/ under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 2.0 licence.

Half baked... :(
The idea is good, but the implementation is half baked only. :( First, you cant search for a street name, although theyre displayed. So you have to know where you are, or where you want to go. :( Second, not all areas of Metro Manila are covered by the map, at least not in an usuable resolution. When scrolling and reaching the boundary of the map in the current zoom level, the map jumps rather arbitrarily. I didnt try the locating feature yet when in the area. Theoretically, this should work on iPad with GPS when not connected to the internet... When you click the locate button while outside of the area, the map actually moves to your current place, even half around the world, and only the grid will be displayed, and you cant scroll back... you have to kill the app. Sad, that this is not an universal app (iPhone and iPad).

Not impressed
After down loading the free app I was asked to pay for the map I wanted! The map I downloaded was Manila Philippines and looks like a great map at first but dose not zoom in on Pasig which is part of metro Manila! I WISH I COULD GET A REFUND FOR THIS SHITTY APP!!!!

Useless.
Of all the apps I used in this 20-city, 8-country trip, this was by far the most boring, useless, unreadable piece of junk!

This app does not work. You cannot move the screen properly. It like being in the dial op mode. It takes time to get to the other screen. You are dragging the other papes, its too slow. Its not worth it!!!

One star for free
Worth the try since it was free. Detailed although not sure how accurate. Buggy when it comes to moving around and zooming in. Not quite ready in my opinion, but if worked on it can become a decent app.
